Jail Ministry

Join with us as we minister to residents in a five-month program for women who carry both mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. Typically, around 40 women attend the Bible study and we generally minister to them six times during their residency. They are of all ages and come from all walks of life, but many are indigent.

These women are very open to the Gospel. God has placed them in the desert to meet Him there. Truly, the fields are ripe for the harvest.

We endeavor to come alongside the Lord as He calls them to Himself and meet their needs. As we minister to them in the Word and in prayer, we also help with physical needs.

The jail does furnish free Bibles but the ladies sometimes require a larger print, an easy-to-read version, or even a Spanish Bible. One of our teachers is bilingual, so we even offer Spanish prayer.

The program also furnishes minimal toiletries but they tend to be harsh and aggravate sensitive skin. For that reason we bring name-brand, basic toiletries as well.

If you’d like to join us in serving, we accept monetary donations, new and unopened toiletries and new and used Bibles and Christian books.
